Senator Penny Wong launches AWRCE on 24 March

Senator the Hon. Penny Wong will officially open the Australian Water Recycling Centre of Excellence before a gathering of more than 100 water recycling experts at a function in Brisbane on March 24.

The event will attract guests from every state from the water recycling and research sectors.

Guests will learn more about how the opportunities that the Centre will create for industry and research partnerships and will have an opportunity to discuss the Centre’s research direction with the release of a series of discussion papers around the Centre’s research themes.

clouds_hpThe Australian Government is providing $20 million of funding to the Australian Water Recycling Centre of Excellence through its Water for the Future initiative, a $12.9 billion investment to help Australia meet the challenges of our drying climate and rising demand for water.
